If ever you wondered about the longevity of lime finishes, take a look at the frescoes recently revealed in Rome’s Catacombs of Domitilla. Once the layers of smoke and dirt were removed, the ceilings of two crypts emerged as bright and beautiful as when they were painted, 1600 years ago, using the very same natural materials Domingue is so proud to carry.
